Nuclear Power stations produce waste? really?? sorry we didn't realise

The government has been slammed for proposing that the Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC) should not consider nuclear waste when deciding on stations.

Four former members of the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM), the government's independent adviser on nuclear waste, have written to energy secretary Ed Miliband complaining that their recommendations have been "seriously misrepresented" in the draft nuclear national policy statement (NPS) released last month (Planning, 13 November, p1).
